Welcome to yet another exciting quarter with us here at Chase!

I am reminded of the words of Colin Powell, "Perpetual optimism is a force multiplier". This has never before been as important for us as a nation as it is now. As we face a somewhat difficult period in our economic history, I am convinced that even with the most aggressive intervention strategies in place, the battle will be won because we, as Kenyans, refuse to lose our hope and belief in, and redouble our efforts towards better times ahead.

Our 2008 audited financial statements are evidence of the faith that you have placed in the Bank. From humble beginnings, our total assets size has now surpassed the Kshs. 10 billion mark. No small feat, and certainly one we could never have achieved without our customers' loyalty and support. As we mark fourteen years of existence, I am overwhelmed, and I thank each and every one of you for walking this journey with us, through times of plenty and times of hardship.

As a Bank we continue to explore new opportunities to improve our product and service offering to you our customer. To this end, we have now introduced the M-Pesa money transfer services and will also be introducing a revamped suite of Shari'ah Banking, aptly titled Iman (Faith) Banking.

Our Iman Banking products reflect our intention to provide products tailored for Corporates, SMEs and individuals requiring banking services that offer transparency, choice and are governed by Shari'ah compliant practices. Our product development at Chase is a continuous process, we are committed to meeting your changing needs.

We are also pleased to let you know that our Thika branch will be opening within this quarter. Located in Nellion Plaza, Kenyatta Avenue, off the main Garissa Highway within Thika Town, we promise that our newest branch will bear our signature ambience and provide the personalized service that you have come to expect of us.
